What Idaho State Dental Association does

Mission

The ISDA helps Idaho dentists succeed and support the advancement of the health of the public.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Continuing Education for Members: In 2025, North Idaho Conference attendees earned up to 6 hours of CE each. Annual Session attendees earned up to 12 hours of CE through both in-person attendance and online. We supported our 7 component societies in delivering online and hybrid continuing education seminars throughout the year.

  2. Advocacy: During 2025, the ISDA advocated for the establishment of clear laws and rules to support implementation of telehealth technologies in dentistry, continued improvement of the dental program in Medicaid, and appropriate payment methods from dental plans to providers. The Association also provided continued support for refinancing options for student loans to address the high costs of dental education, and efforts to ensure a fair playing field between dentists and third-party payers.

  3. Community Outreach:. The ISDA continued monthly TV segments in the largest Idaho market educating the public on the importance of oral health care and highlighting safety protocols designed to protect both patients and practitioners from the spread of COVID-19, encouraging the public to continue to see their dentist. The Association provides a sustained social media presence to increase connection with community and provides relevant oral health care topics, with an average reach of 2,000 per month.(Continued on Schedule O) Community Outreach includes:-General support of approximately 900 member dentists-Demand generation for member dentists through web-based advertising and general outreach -Peer review to assist in patient/dentist complaints -General information resource -Access to discounted products and services
