01What it does

What Hark Society Inc does

Mission

To help children in underserved communities develop their passions through extra-curricular and extra-classroom activities so that they can benefit from a well-rounded education. We provide small grants to sponsor unique, personalized programs in New York City that will inspire children to thrive and succeed through a full-educational experience and eventually become contributing members in their community.

As stated on its FY2018 Form 990-EZ.

Program

Mentoring/volunteer programs - our mentors and volunteers work with participants to carry out our charitable purpose. This includes both one on one and group activities with participants who would otherwise not have access to these programs, events, and activities.

The first program described on its most recent Form 990-EZ.

Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.

These figures are read directly from IRS Form 990 / 990-PF e-file XML: this organization’s own return for FY2018 (financials across 2017–2018), and the filings of 2 funders that report grants to it. “On record” means captured in the filings we have parsed — a funder that does not e-file, or whose grant detail is not itemized, will not appear.
