What Front Line Appreciation Group Inc does
Mission
FLAG (Front Line Appreciation Group) of Chatham-Madison began as a direct response to the 2020 COVID19 pandemic. The mission is simple: send meals to those working on the front lines, while simultaneously providing much-needed business to local restaurants who are struggling financially due to social distancing and other COVID19-related issues.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990-EZ.
Program
FLAG accepts donations of cash and gift certificates for restaurants to use towards the mission of keeping our frontliners fueled during the pandemic. Expenses in this section relate to the program expenses, which are meals to the frontliners, advertising (website) and office expenses.

The program described on its FY2024 Form 990-EZ. Program spending in total: $0.
The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2020, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2020, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2021 to 2022, from $27k to $8k (−70%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2020 0% · 2021 93%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 3 of the last 5 reported years ran a deficit.
