What Friends of Treasure Island does
Mission
Promote and operate Treasure Island Camp (TIC) as a historic legacy Boy Scouts of America, BSA camping venue, providing resources, manpower, and staff expertise; To ensure that the magic of historic TIC will be able to be experienced for untold thousands of campers in the future.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.
Program
TIC: Provide rustic camping access and scouting program to local and regional Boy and Girl Scout units on historic Treasure island. TIC was once one of the oldest Boy Scout Camps in the country, now owned by a private entity who allows Friends of Treasure Island (FTI) to provide camping to scouting units free of charge 8-9 weekends a year. FTI feels the high adventure aspect of camping on an island without power creates an outdoor learning laboratory for young scouts and supports the leadership of these units by offering scouting adventure and skills including campfires, canoeing, colors, etc.. The program has been so well received by the scout units that many return and FTI was fully booked for the 2025 camping season. FTI is run totally by volunteers, many of whom were camp staff on TIC as youth and young adults. The place is magic and can change how youth see the world.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2023, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2023, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2024 to 2025, from $46k to $56k (+21%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
