What Employes' Mutual Benefit Association does
Mission
To provide short term disability insurance for member purchase and provide for the distribution of funds to members in need.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.
Programs
On its FY2025 return the organization reported a significant change in how it conducts a program.
During the year substantial doubt was raised about the Employers' Mutual Benefit Associations ability to remain a viable going concern in future years. As a result, the Association entered into a voluntary dissolution during 2025, in accordance with s. 614.74 of the Wisconsin Statutes. As of February 4, 2025 it discontinued issuing new insurance policies and marked December 31, 2025 as a last day for active policies to file claims. As of the end of 2025 the Association is working with the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance of Wisconsin to implement a plan for dissolution.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2020, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2020, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2024 to 2025, from $601k to $460k (−23%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 6 of the last 6 reported years ran a deficit.

The officers, directors, trustees and key employees listed on each return. Joined and no longer listed compare each filing with the year before, matching people by surname and first initial; a year after a gap, or a roster under three people, has no comparison.
