01What it does

What East Orange Uaw Senior Citizens Housing Dba Peter Antonellis Towers does

Mission

East orange uaw's mission is to serve a public purpose and provide and promote affordable housing opportunities to low and moderate income disabled or senior citizens in new jersey. Specifically, east orange uaw will continue to operate the housing community pursuant to a state allowing for the incorporation of non-profit entities to develop and operate affordable housing.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Program

  1. East orange uaw provides affordable and subsidized housing to individuals based on their need and their meeting certain specified standards required by either the us department of housing and urban development or the nj housing and mortgage finance agency. East orange uaw limits the rental of the apartments to those individuals who qualify for the affordable housing programs that the community is part of through deed restrictions and financial agreements with hud or hmfa and therefore shall require income qualifications for those programs as required by federal and state law. Generally, since affordable housing is limited to low-income families and individuals, eligibility is based upon the following criteria: (1) annual gross income; (2) whether a person qualifies as elderly, a person with a disability, or as a family; and (3) u.s. Citizenship or eligible immigration status.
