Programs

On its FY2023 return the organization reported starting a significant new program.

Arthur center became a recognized certified community behavioral health center (ccbhc) in january 2023 through a missouri department of mental health survey/evaluation. This has allowed us to expand our services to address the specific health care needs of persons in crisis, those with substance use disorders and those who are uninsured that need a case management intervention. In january of 2023, our ccbhc providers started documenting in the same electronic health record as our fqhc to promote integration, communication and clarity around all health care services needed and utilized by our patients. We began admitting and serving persons who are high utilizers of er's, ems, crisis and law enforcement services to our intensive, short term case management program, ere. We served 53 persons from january-december 2023. Mobile crisis responders saw 243 people face for crisis assessment and followed up on over 1904 crisis calls in 2023. We began to provide optometry services to our patients in september 2023. This was an effort to provide eye care to medicaid patients in our communities to improve health outcomes in our diabetic and hypertensive patient population. We began providing in-house pharmacy services to our patients in our audrain county clinic site. In an effort to allow our patients to have access to affordable medications at the time they received services in our clinic.

Its own explanation, from Schedule O of that return (Part III, line 2).

  1. We provide outpatient services that include psychiatric/psychological evaluations (conducted by a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner for ages 3 years and up), women's health services, individual psychotherapy (conducted by a licensed therapist),group psychotherapy counseling (facilitated by licensed therapists), medication management (conducted by a psychiatrist or by licensed therapists), nursing support (including assistance with medication issues and patient assistance programs) behavioral wellness, primary care, dental care, contract pharmacy and education programs to the community at large.

  2. The organization operates psychiatric group homes supporting up to 24 individuals with complex and cooccurring conditions who require significant support to be successful in the community. These homes are staffed 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The goal is to successfully integrate persons with mental illness back into the community. In pursuit of that we have moved 8 people to our clustered apartment program who can now live semi-independently. We provide services under a healthcare home model for individuals on medicaid that need monitoring of their medical and behavioral status. The services are to improve the individuals health status and reduce hospital admissions. We served approximately 436 adults and youths in 2023. We provide mobile and onsite 24 hour a day crisis intervention services for adults, youth and families. We provided 2,147 hotline crisis calls and interventions either in the office or in the community.
