Hope in Action (HIA) and the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center Violence Intervention Program (CAP-VIP). This program aims to reduce violent crime in Prince Georges County, Maryland including gun violence, by deploying several activities such as violence interruption, wrap around, and outreach. Project activities are guided by a collaborative working group of key program stakeholders and a research partner. Key program stakeholders include community residents, survivors of violence, and criminal justice system representatives.
