01What it does

What Dragonfly Mental Health does

Mission

To cultivate excellent mental health among academics globally

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Delivered 76 discrete programs - designed and delivered by academics for academics, our evidence-based 1 hour mental health literacy seminars and 2 hour skills training workshops are the foundational tools we use to cut through high levels of skepticism, speparate fact from fiction, and encourage critical conversations that have remained unspoken for far too long. Each low-cost, full-service, community-tailored program is delivered by one of our trained dragonfly ambassadors, all of whom are academics themselves from across the globe. Together, our peer-to-peer delivery and our evidence-based programming consistently increased awareness, interest, and readiness for deeper culture change within communities.

  2. Delivered year 2 comprehensive program at university of california, berkeley - dragonfly's comprehensive framework builds on the foundation of our five domains of excellence, each of which are required for fundamental and sustainable culture change. These domains include: wellness committees, peer-networks, anti-stigma efforts, mental health literacy, and skills training; and each domain is then further broken down into five distinct measurable and actionable elements that support excellent mental health and/or prevent unnecessary stressors. In combination, we believe that this evidence based 25-point framework is necessary and sufficient to support the excellent mental health of any academic community.while we contine to test this framework in an ongoing multi-year pilot with uc berkeley, we currently offer four modules designed to assist academic communities depending on their communty commitment and readiness for change. We have putative price points for each of our four modules, but these are not yet firm.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of DRAGONFLY MENTAL HEALTH’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of DRAGONFLY MENTAL HEALTH's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $23k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
