01What it does

What Denver Lab School does

Mission

The mission of the Denver Lab School is to balance curiosity and support in the development of the whole person, driven by their unique passions and using the world around them to experience their education.

As stated on its FY2021 Form 990.

Program

Denver Lab School will offer the greater-denver community an exciting and unique option. Students will drive the direction of their learning under the mentorship and guidance of excellent teachers. The learning process is at its core an iterative one, where teachers and students design experiences that help them approach answers to the questions that most intrigue them. Leading research shows that when students are in control of their learning, their natural curiosity and joy will allow them to truly become lifelong learners.

The first program described on its most recent Form 990, which lists programs largest first by expense.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of DENVER LAB SCHOOL’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of DENVER LAB SCHOOL's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $28k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
