What Creative Arts Experience does
Mission
Creative Arts Experience (CAE) promotes community well-being through accessible arts education, cultural programming, and creative placemaking. CAE provides educational programs and community arts experiences that foster creativity, lifelong learning, social connection, and participation in the arts while strengthening healthier, more connected communities.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.
Program
Arts Education Programs CAE provided 12 arts education classes designed to expand access to the arts and encourage creativity, self expression, lifelong learning, social connection, and personal well-being. Average attendance was approximately 15 participants per class, representing approximately 180 participant visits during the year. Community Arts and Creative Placemaking Events CAE produced two free arts and cultural events in public spaces, with approximately 3,000 attendees at one event and 200 attendees at the second, for a combined attendance of approximately 3,200. These events used arts, culture, and creative placemaking to activate public spaces, expand community access to the arts, bring people together through shared creative experiences, and strengthen community connection.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2020 to 2021, from $13k to $26k (+106%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2020 75% · 2021 0%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
8% of CREATIVE ARTS EXPERIENCE’s revenue is contributions — more earned-revenue than three-quarters of its peers (78% for the typical peer).
