What Create Together Inc does
Mission
Arts and Crafts Education: To empower creative growth in the Okemo Valley by providing access to professional equipment, learning opportunities, and a collaborative space where people can learn, create, and thrive.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.
Programs
Technical Arts Education & STEAM Instruction - (Workshops) Intergenerational Skill Transfer & Workforce Development In 2025, Create Together executed a technical, skill-development education program serving 252 cumulative participants across all age groups. This initiative provided over 30 technical workshops for adults. Programming offered specialized instruction in over 10 artistic disciplines, including ceramics, fiber arts (quilting and weaving), stained glass, and metalwork. By contracting with 22 professional teaching artists, the organization provided high-quality education while directly investing in Vermont's Creative Economy. Two one-week STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) pilot programs for youth aged 8-14 were implmented. To ensure community-wide access, the organization provided scholarships or significant subsidies to the majority of youth participants, removing financial barriers to high-level training. This program serves as a critical educational bridge in the Okemo Valley, ensuring that technical proficiency in heritage and modern crafts remains an accessible path for personal and professional development.

Recognizing that the high cost of entry for specialized tools (such as kilns, floor looms, sewing machines, jewelry benches, and metalworking stations including plasma torches and welding equipment) often creates a barrier to creative practice, Create Together provided an affordable 'equipment-share' model. This program supported 64 students and active members, allowing local artisans to scale their production without the prohibitive overhead of private studio ownership. This infrastructure serves as a vital 'third place' for local makers, fostering a collaborative environment that stimulates local micro-enterprise.

These events, which saw 80 cumulative visits over a three-month period, provided a platform for local artists to demonstrate their creative processes, fostering a sense of civic pride and increasing public appreciation for the arts. By transforming our space into a communal gathering point, we actively address the challenges of rural isolation. These programs are offered at no cost to the public, ensuring that cultural enrichment is accessible to all residents regardless of socioeconomic status, thereby strengthening the social fabric of the Ludlow region.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2023, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2023, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2023 to 2024, from $17k to $49k (+194%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 2 of the last 3 reported years ran a deficit.

Who funds it, year by year
2020 → 2022: the base broadened from 1 funder to 2 funders, grant income rose $5k → $9k.
1 of 4 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 28% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of CREATE TOGETHER INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
CREATE TOGETHER INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 51% of grant income and the top three 97%; half comes from just 1 funder.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left
79% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund CREATE TOGETHER INC.
Largest funder’s share by year: 2020 100% · 2022 59% — diversifying over time.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of CREATE TOGETHER INC's grant income comes from Vermont funders.
In-state vs out-of-state, by year
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $6k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
