What Columbus Civic Theater Inc does
Mission
The Columbus Civic Theater provides live theater to the community. Due to the pandemic, the organization lost the theater they renovated themselves. With it, thousands of dollars in equity vanished. Since 2020, the company had to make do with making podcast radio plays of famous works of literature and theater, available to the public for free.
As stated on its FY2022 Form 990-EZ.
Program
After losing nearly everything when we lost our theater space due to the pandemic, we have been carrying on our mission by fashioning podcast radio plays. The first was a radio lay based on our annual holiday event, A Christmas Carol, and last year (the tax year 2021) we built a studio in our basement (at 534 E Royal Forest Blvd. Columbus, OH 43214). We recorded and edited a three-hour version of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. The recording is available for free on our website www.columbuscivic.org. So far, we have had over 2000 unique downloads, all free to the public.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2021, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2021, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2021 to 2022, from $4k to $0 (−100%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Surplus & reserves
