01What it does

What Citizens in Charge does

Mission

To protect and expand the initiative and referendum process.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. We worked with citizens and legislators to mobilize opposition to anti-initiative legislation in numerous states, including arkansas, florida, missouri, north dakota, utah and washington. We worked to oppose several ballot measures that would have diminished direct democracy at the state and local level, including in arkansas and north dakota.

Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
