What Captivating Montessori School does
Mission
Captivating Montessori School (cms) is a nonprofit homeschooling enrichment community, that seeks to provide montessori education to support learning and social opportunities for children who are currently homeschooling. We believe in a holistic approach to education that nurtures each child's development in all aspects. Our team of educators aim to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive and develop a love for learning. We believe that every child has the potential to succeed, and we are committed to helping them build confidence to reach their goals.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.
Program
At cms, we take a unique approach to education by adhering to true montessori methods. Our program is not based on any particular religion, and we strive to create an environment that supports every child's development from the very beginning. We believe that children learn best when they are in control of their own learning process, which is why we provide them with the necessary materials to explore and learn on their own. The montessori method emphasizes holistic personal development, which goes beyond academic achievement. We guide children to create peace around them for the common good of others, helping them gain an early appreciation of their ability to impact the world around them. We also encourage children to respect the differences of others, develop empathy, and understand the value of listening to and valuing others' ideas. Our program is led by a certified american montessori society teacher who is dedicated to supporting and guiding each child's development. Additionally, we collaborate with parents to stay true to the montessori approach and encourage them to support their child's learning at home. At cms, we are committed to serving all homeschooling students,…

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left
96% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund CAPTIVATING MONTESSORI SCHOOL.
Largest funder’s share by year: 2022 97% · 2023 95% — broadly stable.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration.
