What Build a Home Inc does
Mission
Build a home, inc. Is a faith-based ministry formed to support, encourage, and guide those in transitional seasons of life; to find foundational strength, tangible and spiritually to sustain change. Assisting, first single parent families and then singles displaced from the family unit, to recover and restore a new path with a temporary life structure.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.
Programs
We worked with two single-parent families to provide transitional housing so that they could reunifiy with their children. They acquired support for rent through government assistance.
$10,580 spent28% of program spendingWe partnered with two organizations to offer after-school programs and summer camp for at-risk youth to develop social and emotional learning skills. The after-school program ranged from one to four days a week to provide a base camp for activities and provide food for 10 to 20 kids in attendance. The summer camp ran eight weeks and had about 40 students attending each week. Build a home provided food for the families involved in the programs by sending bags of food home with each family during every two-week session and during the holiday breaks.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2022, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2022, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2022 to 2023, from $209 to $61k (+29094%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
53% of BUILD A HOME INC’s revenue is contributions — more donation-reliant than the typical peer (52% for the typical peer).
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 2 of the last 4 reported years ran a deficit.
