Big Heavy World is established to preserve the historical record of music originating in Vermont; to create economic opportunity for Vermont's musicians and the industries vital to them; to develop community among Vermont musicians and their patrons; and to accomplish this mission in a substance-free environment that empowers and educates youth.

Our programs operate with a model providing workforce development and education to young adults in a platform of projects that preserve regional arts & build community. All projects are operationally related & include a museum, music archive, community radio station and community & economic development initiatives benefitting young volunteers, 100's of artists and the public.
