What Banana Fana Preschool does

Mission

Banana Fana Preschool provides safe, high-quality, relationship-based spanishenglish bilingual and bicultural early childhood education, fostering social-emotional growth, trust, and a supportive, equitable community for families in the greater san francisco area.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Program

  1. Banana Fana Preschool (bfp) is a mission-driven early childhood education program serving families across the greater san francisco area, with a strong focus on supporting historically underserved communities in the mission district. While our childcare center operates as a tuition-based program to sustain daily operations, we are also a tax-exempt nonprofit organization. This hybrid model allows us to balance sustainability with impact, using grants, donations, and community partnerships to reduce financial barriers and expand access to high-quality care for families who might otherwise be unable to afford it.

99% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund BANANA FANA PRESCHOOL.
