Mission
AERRS' primary goal is to enhance animal and human mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Enhance community wellness by creating opportunities for positive and healthy interactions between animal and human friends. Teach participants to interact positively and communicate respectfully. No animal or human is viewed as being less than or disposable due to physical or emotional challenges, age, or a difficult past. Participants benefit from these experiences, stay connected, and grow in respectful ways. Share our experiences and mission with the community through special events, petting zoos, birthday parties, lessons, summer camps, and much more. Conduct speaking engagements as well as casual functions with local groups such as Rotary, churches, educational groups, schools, etc. whenever possible. Launch and maintain the AERRS website and social media presence and develop literature to share our mission and accomplishments.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990-EZ.
Program
AERRS hosted and cared for 27 equine, 1 cow, 4 goats, 3 pigs, 4 chickens, 2 ducks, and 27 dogs, rehoming 5 horses and 12 dogs. Also conducted numerous community events including birthday parties, after school events, summer camp, parent's night out, etc. Much of the public contribution support is a direct result of these community engagements.
