Mission

The Aplex Community Center is a multi-purpose facility that provides the community of alpena with a place to engage, exercise and be entertained. Organizations (including charitable entities), athletic teams and individuals utilize the various spaces and rooms to recreate in various activities (tennis, pickleball, exercise facility), hold meetings, host fundraising and social events, exercise and be entertained. As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. During the reporting year, the Aplex Community Center operated as a newly established nonprofit organization focused on developing a multi-purpose community facility for the alpena area. The organization secured grant funding, corporate sponsorships, and community contributions to support start-up operations, facility readiness, and the establishment of programming infrastructure. Initial activities included making space available for community use, meetings, and recreational activities, and preparing facilities to support charitable, educational, and recreational programming. The organizations efforts advanced its exempt purpose by creating accessible indoor spaces for community engagement, physical activity, and social interaction.

The program described on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.
