What Alachua County Farm Bureau Inc does
Mission
Dedicated to preserving the agricultural rights of those in our community that farm or have an ag-related business. Act as an advocate over local govn't to ensure private property rights.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.
Programs
To promote youth agricultural education, our Women's Committee and Young Farmers & Ranchers sponsored many events during the Alachua County Fair and Livestock Show. During the Youth Fair school tours were provided to students where they visited booths highlighting local agricultural products. We also supported the local 4-H and FFA groups during the livestock show by sponsoring livestock.
Alachua County Farm Bureau has partnered with a local television station to make the public aware of the various agricultural issues impacting our local farmers and ranchers. This is the only locally produced program in North-Central Florida that focuses on our local agriculture and rural citizens. Each program focuses on some aspect of agriculture or some important topic or issue faced by agricultural producers and rural residents.
Alachua County Farm Bureau provides an array of educational opportunities for students of all ages. We provided academic scholarships to High School students whose applications are deemed outstanding by our Youth & Educational committee who want to pursue an agriculture degree. We also hold a Youth Speech Contest. The purpose of this contest is to promote a stronger interest and clearer understanding of the many aspects of agriculture. It gives students the opportunity to gain knowledge, appreciation, and understanding of agriculture.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2020, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2020, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2022 to 2023, from $2.5M to $2.2M (−9%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 0 of the last 6 reported years ran a deficit.

Leadership and staff
The officers, directors, trustees and key employees listed on each return. Joined and no longer listed compare each filing with the year before, matching people by surname and first initial; a year after a gap, or a roster under three people, has no comparison.
