01What it does

What Action Fund for Technology and Emerging Risk does

Mission

Action Fund for Technology and Emerging Risk (after) promotes governance that will maximize the benefits of emerging technologies, especially by mitigating their risks to humanity, including catastrophic and existential risk.

As stated on its FY2023 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. Global risk - after was solely focused on completing actions to close out an advocacy campaign, called "project global shield," from the prior year. This projected advocated for the u.s. Government to more comprehensively assess and reduce global catastrophic and existential risk, including risk arising from emerging technology. With completion of this campaign, after moved to dissolve. During the year, the organization reversed a grant received from the ftx future fund in 2022.
