Extracted tie
A relationship a language model read out of public text rather than a filing.
Some relationships between organizations are described in public writing, such as a partnership named on a website or in a news article, but appear on no return. An extracted tie is one a language model identified in that text.
It is the weakest evidence on the site and is treated as such. Each tie keeps the URL it was drawn from, is presented as a question rather than an assertion, and is worth checking before acting on. Filed and matched relationships are held to a different standard.
