Assortativity
Whether funders in a group tend to connect to others like themselves.
Assortativity measures whether the connections in a network run between similar nodes or different ones. Among funders, a positive value means a group's members mostly co-fund with others of their own kind, by size, geography or cause.
A negative or near-zero value describes a group that mixes: large funders working alongside small ones, or national funders alongside local ones. It says how insular a cluster is, not whether it is effective.
