THE STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES RECEIVE COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT TO GUARANTEE THEIR SUCCESS IN THE LA PAZ ACADEMIC PROGRAM AND IN THE FULFILLMENT OF THE PRINCIPAL GOAL: TO FINISH THEIR STUDIES AND RETURN TO THEIR COMMUNITIES AS AGENTS OF CHANGE. · THE PROJECT AIMS TO CONNECT AREAS OF GUANACASTE (SANTA CRUZ) IN HOPES OF REDUCING ACCIDENTS (ELECTROCUTIONS, CAR ACCIDENTS, AND DOG ATTACKS) INVOLVING WILDLIFE. THIS PROJECT IS NECESSARY BECAUSE URBAN DEVELOPMENT IN RECENT YEARS HAS GREATLY DIMINISHED ANIMALS ABILITIES TO MOVE AROUND DIFFERENT AREAS WITHOUT DANGER. FOR EXAMPLE, DUE TO URBANIZATION AND MORE HOUSES BEING BUILT, MONKEYS HAVE STARTED TO WALK ON THE STREET TO GET AROUND WHICH LEADS TO MANY ACCIDENTS. THE ORGANIZATION COORDINATING THE EFFORTS IS SALVEMONOS, LEAD BY INS AZOFEIFA. THE PROJECT WILL BE LOCATED IN FLAMINGO, CABO VELAS, SANTA CRUZ, AND WILL IMPACT BOTH THE PEOPLE AND THE WILDLIFE OF THE AREA. THIS PROJECT WILL IMPACT THE WILDLIFE OF FLAMINGO BY PROTECTING IT AND ENSURING THE SURVIVAL OF DIFFERENT SPECIES OF ARBOREAL ANIMALS. THE PEOPLE WILL BE IMPACTED BECAUSE THEY WILL NO LONGER HAVE TO SEE ANY DEAD OR OTHERWISE INJURED ANIMALS.
