01What it does

What Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada Fondation Rêves d'enfants Canada does

Ongoing programs

Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We are on a quest to bring every eligible child's wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness.

As stated on its FY2024 T3010.

How concentrated its funding is

Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada Fondation Rêves d'enfants Canada has a broad base — no single funder exceeds 11% of grant income, and it takes 10 funders to reach half.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 10 funders to its left

100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Funder regions come from each funder’s own filing. C$1.9M arriving through sponsors registered in 7 regions is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
