What Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta does
Ongoing programs
Junior achievement is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating students about work readiness entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential hands-on programs. We are in 118 countries around the world and reach over 10 million students per year. At Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta & nwt we reach over 30 000 students per year from grades 3 -12. This is possible through a partnership between the business community educators and volunteers who work together to inspire young people to reach their dreams. Our approach allows volunteers to deliver our curriculum-based programs while sharing their own experiences and knowledge. The value is in the 'real world' perspective.
As stated on its FY2024 T3010.
The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2019 to 2020, from C$359k to C$743k (+107%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2017 6% · 2018 6% · 2019 4% · 2020 9% · 2021 13% · 2022 7% · 2023 11% · 2024 14%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
37% of JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF NORTHERN ALBERTA’s revenue is contributions — more donation-reliant than the typical peer (34% for the typical peer).

In-province vs out-of-province, by year
Funder regions come from each funder’s own filing.
